Valentines Show, Flemish Farm

Saturday November 12, 2005
Lord Mayor's Show, City of London
This is an important day in the Light Cavalry’s calendar when they perform a traditional role of escorting the coach of the new Lady Mayoress during the parade. For best participation this is a great time to volunteer as a helper.
It was a long day starting with the preparation of the horses and men, first at Flemish Farm and then moving to Armoury House.
The parade began at 11am and proceeded to the Law Courts where everyone broke for lunch. The parade finished at about 3pm and then began the long process of getting the horses un-tacked and prepared for the journey home.

Saturday October 22, 2005
Uniformed Services Show Jumping Competition at the Kings Troop RHA, St.John's Wood
This event has become a tradition for the Light Cavalry HAC. Held for many many years, it has been hosted at different times by the Light Cavalry HAC and the HAC Saddle Club. It is a competition put on for members of the uniformed services and was attended by contingents from Belgium, France, Holland and Poland. The King’s Troop are marvellous hosts and it made for a very enjoyable day.

Saturday October 22, 2005
Uniformed Services Show Ladies Night Dinner, Armoury House
As the Ladies Night Dinner had to be cancelled in July because of the London bombings it was decided that we should combine the two dinners on the same night.
A black-tie dinner, this was a glittering event with dancing into the early hours.

Thursday October 6, 2005
Supporting Riders Drinks Party
Held at the Regimental Headquarters of the Honourable Artillery Company it was a great opportunity to mix with the members of the Light Cavalry and fellow Supporting Riders.

Saturday September 24, 2005
Annual Inspection and Families Day at Flemish Farm
This was a great day out for all the family as the whole of the HAC Light Cavalry assembled at Flemish Farm to be inspected by the General. Once the pomp and circumstance of the parade was completed there were various competitions and displays to watch. It was a great day to pack a picnic and bring the family.
There are some photos of this event in a Gallery.

Saturday/Sunday August 13/14, 2005
